as its first “World Tour,” SM Entertainment’s annual summer festival concert was recently announced to be kicking off in Seoul on August 21st, and then moving to Los Angeles on September 4th and Shanghai on September 11th. Alongside the usual SM favorites like SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, BoA, Zhang Li Yin, and TRAX, his year’s concert will welcome former H.O.T. member Kangta after a two year hiatus due to his military service, as well as DBSK members Yunho and Changmin, who have not had significant performance activities in Korea for almost two years. After the disappointing cancellation of last year’s SMTown Live, this year’s concert is promising to be a performance to look forward to – for the music, of course, but also for the controversial appearances of Yunho and Changmin after their long time disappearance from the performing stage, as well as the presentation of their new duet and their scheduled performance of “Mideoyo,” a classic DBSK hit.
Controversy aside, this is also the first year that SMTown has hit American shores, with its stopover at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Who’s attending?
